I agree a lot of folks put all their eggs in one basket. I've signed up to be a proctor, a finger printer, I'm doing door dash, I'm working on starting up a food truck and vending business, all part time but on my terms rather than at the dictates of an employer, I think this helps so that I don't worry about constantly maximizing profit from each business venture. The second issue is our country isn't geared towards self employment all schools don't teach you how to work for your self, market yourself or managed your own finances and its that way for the benefit of employers that don't give a damn about you. On the MCDs fish sandwiches, it comes from Lent where some Catholics give up beef it offers an alternative(something I asked about while working there bc we sold a ton of those things and I couldn't stand them)

I would like to know how the fingerprint would work for me.. is it just getting the print cards and the ink, what else is needed for just the basic.
I am a notary here in RI. Never wanted to pursue my notary business since I my job got my stamp and I just used to stamp work docs. But recently I decided to put it to work and got NNA certified with the LSA.. so just prt time. I still work, just basically need extra income now since the economy is crazy now.

You can’t notarize a passport
Call me nuts… but I have yet to actually step out and do any Notary work. I just purchased a RAVEN scanner and now am 100% mobile. My timing may be way off… but I am slow in getting started but am still encouraged.
The Notary business is dead right now. Many signed up to be Loan Signing Agents, not Fingerprint or Inspection companies. That won’t pay the bills
I literally just started. I can't give up now. I didn't even get my printer yet to quit. I also got certified to be a loan signing agent. So I really want this to happen so I can make money. I don't want to quit. I do have to do it part time for now, because I do have a 9-5'er. I know I don't want to be at the company I'm currently at too much longer though. Don't give up folks, it's money to be made and I want to be a part of the money-making business.

It was a good lesson for everyone. The pandemic was truly the test for us notaries. You get out of it what you put in. I also was one of the notaries but unfortunately I didn't have really any other streams of income. I too went back to a traditional job and I just realized that it was not my passion after all. I no longer have an interest and have pursued other entrepreneurial ventures. No regrets here. I enjoyed the notary world for the 1.5 years I did it. I still watch some of you on you tube because of the entrepreneurial world! Keep up your positive energy kimmee!
A lot of new notaries focused only on loan signing, so when interest rates went up especially for those in states where specialty notary work doesn’t pay well. They are not getting appointments.
